A GFCP Approved Auditor must eventually meet the following:


1. Supply an appropriate Curriculum Vitae for screening purposes

a. Degree in food science, quality, related major or equivalent
b. Minimum of 5 years of auditing industry experience in food safety/quality systems minimum (combination internal and external auditing considered)
c. Must have completed lead auditor training for any Food Safety Management System MS standard; ISO22000 desired and provide proof (e.g. Lead Auditor Certificate)

2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills

a. A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written in English (bilingual English/French is an asset)

3. Must have successfully completed the GFCP Auditor Training Course and any follow-up

4. Pass the GFCP Auditor exam (pass mark is 80% minimum)
